The invention relates to a method for the processing of fibrous or elementary-yarn non-woven materials. The object of the invention is to provide a highly productive method, by which yarn constructions with a textile feel, with high breathing activity and with strength can be produced without spinning and preparation processes involving a high outlay. According to the invention, a consolidated and largely homogeneous non-woven material web is cut to form yarn sets which are subsequently processed to form yarn constructions, the use of additional auxiliary yarns being possible. The non-woven material yarns are drawn before or during their processing. Sheet-like structures produced by the method according to the invention can be used for many practical purposes, for example as packaging material.
