<p>A rotary-piston, positive displacement machine operable as a compressor or combustion engine. The machine comprises a cylindrical enclosing jacket (12); a rotor (11) with apexes (15, 16) which sealingly engage the cylindrical inner wall of the jacket defining a space (13) which is divided by vanes (17, 18) which are movably mounted on the jacket to seal against the jacket and slidingly seal against the rotor. The vanes may be pivotably, slidably or rotatably mounted on the wall of the jacket.</p> |
