PURPOSE:To display an error in case of a wrong form size by feeding a form manually, specifying a size and performing printing operation, and obtaining passing information on the form by two sensors provided on the path of the from and deciding the size of the form. CONSTITUTION:The form is inserted manually into the entrance A of a printer frame 200, and a print side is specified on a console panel which is not shown in a figure and then a start button is pressed. An optical system unit 201 and a process kit 210 operate to print the form with a toner, and the form is fixed and discharged from the exit B. The sensors S1 and S2 near the entrance A and exit B detect the form passing. When the time difference in detection coincides with none of necessary passing times for respective sizes of forms which are stored in a controller previously, an error is displayed on the console panel and a buzzer sounds. Consequently, an error in manual form insertion is corrected securely and a warning of the jamming of a form is generated. |
