The subject-matter of the invention is a frame for padded seating furniture, whose individual parts, such as back, side parts, panel or the like, consisting of particle board or plastic sheets, are connected to one another via wooden frames lying between the side parts and attached thereto. To achieve high stability of such a frame, the invention consists in the fact that each frame 5 engages at the end flush in a corresponding opening 7 in the associated side part 3, each end of each frame 5 being fixed in its position via a connecting element 6 which is guided through the opening 7 in the side part 3, rests on both sides against the wall of the side part 3 and on one side against the frame 5, and is held by attachment means 11 on the frame 5 and on the side part 3. <IMAGE>
