PURPOSE:To form an electrostatic image with high precision without any fog by positioning an exposure mechanism at a base side and an electrode at a charge transfer side oppositely so that the charge transfer layer and electrode are not in contact, and applying a voltage and performing image exposure. CONSTITUTION:The image exposure system 6 is arranged at the side of the base 2 of an photosensitive body 1, and the electrode 7 is positioned at the side of the charge transfer layer 5 of the photosensitive body 1. The electrode 7 is connected to a power source 8 and applied with a voltage E1 having a constant polarity, and the conductive layer 3 of the photosensitive body 1 is also connected to a power source 9 and applied with a voltage E2 having the opposite polarity. When the photosensitive body 1 is exposed to an image on the side of the transparent base 2 through an optical system 6, a charge generation layer 4 is exposed at a light part L through the base 2 and conductive layer 3 and generate charges moves on the surface of the charge transfer layer 5 to converge. Consequently, the electrostatic image consisting of the light part L which is charged and a dark part D which is not charged is formed. |
