In a switched-mode power supply, a switching element (1) which is driven by a two-point regulator (5) carries out the regulation of the output voltage. The lower reclosing point for the switching element (1) is formed by a reference voltage source (Uref), while the upper opening point is formed by a voltage divider circuit (R5, R4, R6, R7) which is additionally influenced by a current-dependent limiter circuit, by means of an operational amplifier (4) with a predetermined gain. <IMAGE>
