<p>On a knitting needle bar (4) with a reciprocating motion there is arranged a series of knitting needles (2). To insert the warp ends (26) into the knitting needles (2) there are provided setting needles (22) which are secured to a bar (24). To ensure a good accessibility to the knitting location, the knitting needles (2) are arranged in a plane (I) which forms with respect to the horizontal (H) an angle α which varies between 20?o and 40o¿, preferably equal to 30o: this plane is inclined rearwardly. The knitting band (73) is evacuated by a knitting guide (76) arranged perpendicularly to the plane (I) of the knitting needles.</p> |
