PURPOSE:To prevent an image from running by heating an electrophotographic sensitive belt which has an amorphous silicon photoconductor layer on a conductive base before processes of electrostatic charging, exposure, transfer, development, and paper separation, and shielding an electrostatic charger for paper separation and the surface of the photosensitive belt from each other. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous silicon photoconductor layer 2 is formed on the surface of a metallic drum 1. The photoconductor layer 2 is corona-charged and exposed by an optical system 6, an image is developed with toner 7, which is transferred to a form 14; and coronas for separation are charged at a separation part 10 to separate the form 14 from the drum 1. The remaining toner 7 is discharged and cleaned up with a cleaner 12. A heat roller 15 is powered on and brought into contact with the meallic roller 1 for heating before or after continuous use in said normal processes. A film for shielding is interposed between the separation part 10 and photoconductor layer 2 after the continuous use. Consequently, harmful ions are removed to prevent an image from running. |
