The installation is comprised of a unit arranged at the output (1) of the fabric producing machine. Said unit may possibly comprise a device (6) for separating the fabric into bands, and a heating cylinder (8) for the hot-shrinkage and -fixing of the fabric. The heating element (8b) is excentrically arranged inside the cylinder (8a) so that by rotation of its location, the heating effect may be regulated. Eventually generated vapours are sucked out.
