A fuel system for an internal combustion engine has an electrical resistance heater (46) accommodated in gasket means (10) disposed between a throttle body flange (22) and a mating flange (24) on an intake manifold so that the heater (46) is located immediately adjacent an idling speed fuel inlet nozzle (26) or the like in the throttle body (14) for transferring heat to the nozzle area through the throttle body flange (22) to prevent freeze-up of the nozzle (26) during engine operation.
