PURPOSE:To grasp a density level variation in a moving picture and a picture whose direction is not constant, by generating a cutting plane line of an optical direction to a picture, and displaying by a graph a density level of a picture running along this cutting plane line. CONSTITUTION:A terminal 51 is connected to a generating source of a constant for determining a position of a cutting plane line on a display picture, and orthogonal coordinates (x), (y) corresponding to a scanning position. A terminal 52 is connected to a generating source of a density level of a picture, this terminal 52 is connected to one input of an arithmetic circuit 26, and an output of the arithmetic circuit 26 is connected to an input of a storing circuit 23. The other inputting circuit of the arithmetic circuit is connected to an output of a setting circuit 27. A density curve signal is outputted from an output terminal 55, an output of an OR circuit 28 is connected to a terminal 56, and a display signal is outputted from the terminal 56. |
