PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which treats quickly and efficiently iron scrap, etc. in large amt. by the constitution in which the iron scrap, etc. are accepted into a press cylinder inclined downward toward the front from a weighing hopper and are pressed by a plunger punch actuated by a hydraulic cylinder and the pressed scrap is discharged through a sliding gate. CONSTITUTION:A press body 15 of pressing device is installed with a press cylinder 8 provided with an accepting chute 7 so as to incline downward toward the front at a prescribed angle by a stanchion and is provided with a plunger punch 19 driven and actuated by a main hydraulic cylinder 18 into said press cylinder. A gate 2 is opened to supply the iron scrap, etc. housed into a storage hopper 1 of a press body 15 of such device into a weighing hopper 3 and when a specified weight is attained, said weight is detected with a photoelectric switch 5 and the gate 2 is closed. A cut-off gate 6 is then opened to feed the iron scrap, etc. via the chute 7 to the inside of the cylinder 8 and the iron scrap, etc. are pressed by the punch 19 and are discharged through a sliding gate 21 by lifting said gate. If the fed iron scrap, etc. overflow the cylinder 8, a damper 10 is closed by a hydraulic cylinder not shown in figure to force the scrap, etc. into the cylinder 8. |
