SCRAPER OF DROSS IN CASTING MOLD

PURPOSE:To scrape automatically dross by providing movably forward and backward a receiving tray having the same width as the transverse width of a casting mold which receives dropping of the dross scraped by both buckets in front of the casting mold coming to the dross scraping position below a stationary frame and synchronizing the movement thereof with the movement of a moving frame. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal 22 is poured into a casting mold 2 when a turntable 1 turns to bring the mold 2 to right under a stationary frame 3. The cylinder 7 of a scraper A is actuated to dip the bottom ends of both buckets 19 into the molten metal 22 and further cylinders 14, 16 are actuated to close both buckets 9, thereby scraping the dross on the surface of the molten metal 22. The cylinder 7 is then operated reverse to rise both buckets 19 and a receiving tray 27 is advanced to right under the buckets 19 by a cylinder 28. The both buckets 19 are moved by a cylinder 5 and the tray 27 is moved by a cylinder 32 simultaneously to above a dross discharging chute 33. The dross in the buckets 19 and the tray 27 are thereupon discharged into the chute 33.
