PURPOSE:To correctly extract the endpoint from the linear density in the oblique direction by displaying a segment extended in the horizontal or vertical diretion of a rectangular pattern for inspection. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular pattern for inspection having a segment, which is obtained by extending a vertical or horizontal side in the prescribed length, is displayed on a cathode-ray tube to be inspected. L shall be the extended segment of a pattern T extended in the vertical direction. In this case, as the linear density according to the scanning in the oblique direction is changed from 1 to 2 in the oblique line (C) while being divided by the oblique line (B), the endpoint P of the rectangle shall exist on the oblique line (B), thus being able to fix the position of the endpoint. |
