PURPOSE:To perform a stable and accurate dot printing by providing a heat generating body with an insulating part to obtain a high-output heat generation and almost uniform surface temperature distribution. CONSTITUTION:A heat generating body 31 is connected between energization leads 10a and 10b and provided with a heat generating resistance section 32 having a specified area. In addition, the heat generating body 31 is provided with an insulating part 33 having a specified area successive to the heat generating resistance section 32 in the perimeter thereof flush therewith 32. This insulating part 33 is, for example, an opening provided at the center of the surface of the heat generating body 31. When a driving current is fed to energization leads 10a and 10b, the heat generating resistor 32 generates heat. In this case, the insulating part 33 provided at the center of the heat generating body 31 serves to control the temperature rise at the center thereof 31 thereby almost uniformizing the surface temperature distribution of the heat generating body 31. |
