PURPOSE:To input a data at an optional place separated from a POS terminal without using a cable by transmitting an inputted data to a POS body by using infrared-rays. CONSTITUTION:A data input device 1 is provided with a key input button 12 for inputting a data, a transmitting instruction, etc., a display panel 13 and an infrared-rays emitting part 11. A POS body 2 has a photodetecting part 3 and photodetects infrared-rays generated from the infrared-rays emitting part 11 by operating a data transmitting instruction by the key input button 12. The POS body 2 is provided with a card reader 4, too. |
