CYLINDRICAL ALKALINE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To provide a battery having high short current and good high rate performance by pressing the upper part of a positive mix. CONSTITUTION:A hollow cylindrical positive mix 1 is placed in a positive case 2 and a positive ring 3 is inserted. An inwardly extending part 3h of the positive ring is pressed so that a compression angle formed downward from the horizontal level is kept to 3-14 deg.. Accordingly, the upper part of the positive mix is compressed and mix density of this part is increased. Thereby, a small cylindrical battery having high short current and good high rate performance is provided.
