<p>Naphthol sulphonic acids of the formula: <CHEM> where n is 1 or 2; R is H or an optionally substituted alkyl; R<1> is H, optionally substituted alkyl or optionally substituted cycloalkyl, or R and R<1> together with the nitrogen atom form a heterocyclic ring. The use of the naphthol sulphonic acids as coupling components in the preparation of azo dyes, especially acid, direct and reactive dyes, is described.</p> |
