PURPOSE:To attain optimum utilization of the capability of a power amplifier by detecting the level of an output power and controlling the output level of a modulation means and the line connection of a line connecting means with line number information supplied from the line connecting means and the said output power information. CONSTITUTION:A signal detecting circuit 21 of the line connecting section 23 is constituted so that a connection line number signal (e) is outputted and also a line connection permission signal (f) of the line control circuit 26 is received. Moreover, an output level control circuit 22 of the modulation section 24 is controlled by a power control signal (c), a maximum output control signal (g) and a level increase inhibiting signal (h). A power detector 25 detects the level of an output power (d), the line control circuit 26 uses the information signal (i) and the said signal (e) to judge the maximum line number and whether or not the maximum output power level of the control circuit 22 and the level increase are inhibited, transmit the signal (f) to a line connection section 23 and the signals (g) and (h) to the control circuit 22 to control the line thereby bringing the output power of the powe amplifier 19 to the maximum value possible for usage. |
