<p>PURPOSE:After radiation is allowed to absorb in a complex halide fluorescent material activated with a brightening divalent Eu, the fluorescent material is irradiated with specific electromagnetic wave to allow the radiation energy to emit as fluorescence and radiation image conversion is effected by detecting the fluorescence. CONSTITUTION:Radiation beams after transmission through the substrate or emitting from the substrate is absorbed in a divalent Eu-activated complex halide fluorescent material of the formula (MII is Ba, Sr, Ca; MI is Li, Rb, Cs; X, X' are Cl, Br, I; 0.1<=a<=20.0; 0<x<=0.2). Then, the fluorescent material is irradiated with electromagnetic waves of 450-900nm, preferably 500-800nm wavelength to allow the radiation energy to emit as fluorescent light. The fluorescence is read optoelectrically and converted into electric signals to form an image. EFFECT:An X-ray image rich in information is obtained from reduced exposure to X-rays. USE: Direct radiography for medical purposes, etc.</p> |
