PURPOSE:To prevent double feeding reliably by arranging a plurality of upper and lower rollers in the downstream of a feed roller for feeding document on a document table from the uppermost one alternatively while overlapping each other. CONSTITUTION:Upon turning on of a starting switch, a lower roller 10 constituting a carry roller 11 will rotate in the direction L but the upper roller 9 is blocked through a lock mechanism where the circular recess 9a inth upper roller 9 is facing with the circumferential portion of lower roller 10. Upon turning on of paper feed switch, a feed roller 8 is rotated through a cam to the position contacting with a document G while simultaneously the lock mechanism is released to rotate the upper roller 9 in the direction L. Consequently, the document G is carried while being held at the circumferential portion of upper and lower rollers 9, 10 and upon reaching of the leading edge of document G to the timing belt 14, the carry roller 11 will stop at the position where the circular recess 9a will face with the circumferential portion of lower roller 10. |
