PURPOSE:To prevent lowering of machining accuracy caused by the temperature change and also to automatically correct the wrong shift of the machining position of the material to be machined so as to achieve highly accurate machining, by maintaining the rising temperature constant all the time, without setting a machining cessation period during electric discharge machining. CONSTITUTION:An electric discharge machining device comprises a CRT display unit 23 which outputs programs or data on the screen for editing, a reference ball set position storage unit 24 which measures the set position of the reference ball and stores the result, a storage unit 12 which stored the input data and programs, a machining program setting device 13 which sets machining program specified among a number of programs, a logic circuit 15A which controls the electric discharge machining device so that the prescribed machining will be executed in accordance with the directions from the machining program setting device 13 at the position corrected by a position correcting device 14. Consequently, the wrong shift of the machining position of the material to be machined is corrected automatically. and highly accurate machining is executed. |
