PURPOSE:To improve the operational convenience by a method wherein set temperature is changed in response to the quantity of delivery hot water. CONSTITUTION:When the quantity of delivery hot water increases, the contact of a reed switch 10 is open, resulting in operating a burner 2 in ON-OFF actions with the resistance value of a temperature sensor 5 or the detection temperature of the sensor 5 as a basis. At this time, a contact 9 is left open. When the quantity of delivery hot water increases furthermore, the contact of the reed switch 9 is closed, resulting in shortcircuiting a fixed resistor 16 and consequently raising the set temperature. The burner 2 is put into ON-OFF operations with said raised set temperature as a new basis in order to supply high temperature hot water. Due to the lag of response of the temperature sensor 5 or the like, the maximum temperature of delivery hot water tends to raise abruptly high. However, because the set temperature is set lower within the range of small quantity of delivery hot water, the danger of boiling is eliminated when the quantity of delivery hot water is small and at the same time the quantity of water indispensable at the start of burning can be made smaller. Accordingly, the small quantity of low temperature hot water can easily be delivered, resulting in improving the operational conveniences such as the washing of face and hands, kitchen work and the like. |
