<p>Crucible furnace for melting glass, partic. lead crystal and other high quality glass, comprising a base with a peripheral support surface, a reception zone for one or more crucibles within the periphery of the base, a movable bell constituting the upper part and lateral walls of the furnace heating chamber and having a support surface at its lower end cooperating with that of the base, together with devices ensuring a vertical displacement of the bell relative to the base over a height sufficient to allow the crucible to be changed by a horizontal displacement.</p> |
