PURPOSE:To enable an electronic type scanning while reducing the size and weight by arranging an auxiliary magnetic pole obtained by magnetizing sheets with respective exciting coils to cross each one edge face of a sheet-shaped main magnetic pole as opposed with a clearance provided to have a sheet-shaped magnetic recording medium passing through to obtain a magnetic latent image on said medium. CONSTITUTION:A main magnetic pole 1 is made to cross an auxiliary magnetic pole 2 having an exciting coil 3 with a clearance kept between edge faces 1a and 2a and the clearance is so arranged to allow the passage of a sheet-shaped magnetic recording medium 4 having a high-magnetic-permeability magnetic layer 7 and a vertically magnetized layer 8 laminated on a base in the direction of the arrow. The surfaces S facing the magnetic poles 1 and 2 correspond to pixels 5 of a latent image formed on the medium 4. When an exciting is done with a coil 3 so as to generate a magnetic flux from the edge face 2a and the medium 4 is passed, the layer 8 is magnetized in inversion at the opposed parts to the poles 1 and 2 to attract a magnetic toner at these areas. The toner is transferred onto a recording paper to obtain an image. When a number of head sections are arranged along the edge face 1a of the main magnetic pole 1, unified information can be written simultaneously. |
