GUN SIGHT

An optical gun sight is described which has two telescopes. The first telescope has a fixed increasing magnification and the second telescope has a selectable increasing magnification. The images from each telescope are combined in an eyepiece. The magnification of the second telescope is selected in accordance with the known speed of the target. The gun operator sights through the eyepiece so that the larger first image is behind the smaller second image on a common path which crosses the center of the field and spaced apart by a selected multiple of lengths of the second image to derive an appropriate lead angle.
