PURPOSE:To automatically carry out shifting between two-wheel drive and four- wheel drive even when a car is running by using a DC motor while utilizing spring force in a device in which a free wheel clutch is installed on a free wheel side axle. CONSTITUTION:To lock (connect) a clutch, when a roller 110 with a shift fork is separated from a retainer 111 by releasing a cable, a slide gear 102 is pushed in the direction in which the clutch is connected, through the retainer 111 by means of a spring 103. To make the clutch free (disconnect), when the retainer 111 is pushed by pulling a cable, a tension spring 108 is extended, pushing the slide gear 107 in the direction in which the clutch is disconnected. Said cable is connected to a worm driven by a DC motor, and can be operated by a select switch in a car. |
