PURPOSE:To enhance the machining accuracy by adjusting the slit to the current optimum size using each bolt, and thereby holding the clearance between a cylindrical part and the tailstock spindle to be inserted therein at all times in favorable state. CONSTITUTION:A slit 5 in the side face of a cylindrical part 3 is adjusted toward closing by driving a fastening bolt 7, and toward the opening by driving a set volt 8. The clearance between the cylindrical part 3 and a tailstock spindle 4 to be inserted therein can be adjusted accordingly. This allows the clearance to follow the increasing wear and also a large machining load in the case of heavy cutting, which will further lead to enhancement of the processing accuracy. |
