PURPOSE:To enable measurement with simple construction and high accuracy by engaging movable bodies apart at a space from arms and moving the arms by means of springs. CONSTITUTION:Movable bodies 1, 2 are initially apart from each other and measuring contacts 8, 9 are held most open. When a longitudinal feed screw 3 is turned by an electric motor 24 or the like, the bodies 1, 2 move synchronously toward the closing direction. Since the arms 20, 21 are kept pressed in one way by springs 15, 16, the arms are moved integrally and the contacts 8, 9 are closed as well. The measuring contacts stop when the contacts contact with an object 10 to be measured but the movable bodies continue to close further as there are spaces 13, 14 and therefore the movement is stopped by a sensor which senses the decrease of the spaces. The displacement rate of the measuring contacts is detected by a scale 6 and a reading head 7 attached to the arms 20, 21. |
