The apparatus is used for the cosmetic treatment of skin and permits application of a steam and ozone mixture through a spray nozzle. It comprises a stand (1, 3), equipped with a reservoir (4) for holding water, this being boiled by an electric immersion heater (6). The steam (9) passes into an expansion chamber (8). The vapour is conducted upwards (11, 12) through an ultra-violet unit (13), this providing the ozone for mixing with the steam before discharge through the nozzle (14). Condensation (19) remains in the chamber until returned to the water reservoir by a pump (15, 16, 17). The top cover (2) of the apparatus has a filling tube (5) for the water.
