PURPOSE:To narrow a guard band between tracks and to increase recording density by arranging two heads having different azimuth angles each other in the width direction of tracks with a minimum distance. CONSTITUTION:The main magnetic poles 1a, 1b have azimuth angles alpha1, alpha2 which are respectively equal to positive and negative angles to the width direction of the tracks 9a, 9b,.... The main magnetic poles 1a, 1b, magnetic exciting cores 4a-4d and magnetic cores 5a-5d are arranged on heads 12, 13 point- symmetrically to the center point of the track width direction of the main magnetic poles 1a, 1b on a plane parallel to a recording medium 7. Consequently, the width of guard bands 10a- can be reduced and the concentrical generation of crosstalk to one position is prevented. Since the tracks 9b, 9c are simultaneously recorded by one united-type head 11, crosstalk in a reproduced signal is reduced by the azimuth effect even if the head 11 is overlapped to the adjacent track 9a. |
