<p>The liquid is held in a vessel with a removeable top which has a tube reaching downwards inside almost to the bottom; into this a wick is fitted. The upper end of the tube may be formed into an extended evaporating surface. A rod with a pointed end through or alongside the wick can be moved downward into a corresponding hole in the bottom of the wick tube, controlling the rate of vaporisation. The vaporiser is used for evaporating into the atmosphere, various liquids such as deodorisers, insecticides, repellants, perfumes, etc., and can be transported or overturned without danger of spillage.</p> |
