PURPOSE:To reduce the contamination of the whole of distilled water by controlling foaming, by adding a small amount of a defoaming agent to sludge removed excretion after pretreatment while mixing a specific amount of alkali therein to perform simple distillation or stream distillation. CONSTITUTION:The solid substances such as earth and sand, paper trash, plastic pieces or metal pieces mixed in raw excretion are preliminarily removed and crushed to obtain sludge removed excretion and a small amount of a defoaming agent is added thereto. In addition alkali is mixed with the sludge removed excretion in an amount corresponding to 15% or more of the evaporated residue of said excretion and the resulting mixture is subjected to simple distillation or stream distillation under reduced pressure or atmospheric pressure. Subsequently, the residue is reacted with quick lime to obtain a powder composition while inorg. nutrients are added to distilled water to perform biological treatment. As the aforementioned defoaming agent, there are a polyglycol type and a silicone type but the latter is pref. except for distillation at a low temp. under reduced pressure. |
