PURPOSE:To keep off any curvature in each electrode and secure stable picture quality, by installing plural pieces of electrode in position between a cathode and a phosphor, while burning and locking them via a coupling spacer between these electrodes, and installing a notch part in the said coupling spacer of a picure display device sealed with a glass vessel. CONSTITUTION:In case of a picture display device which installs plural electrodes between a cathode and a sphosphor, burning and locking them via a coupling spacer between these electordes, and sealed with a glass vessel, a coupling spacer 30, for example, is interposed between beam flow limiting electrodes 26 and 27 and burned and locked with frit. At this time, some notch parts are installed in the spacer 30 and further there are arranged alternately, through which a unit stress is eliminated. Doing like this, a problem of possible curvature in a beam flow limiting electrode unit or a horizontal deflecting electrode unit is solvable and, what is more, such a picture that eliminates a horizontal line or a defect of color shading can be displayed. |
