<p>The electronic regulator reduces the power requirements compared with a rheostat control. A regulator circuit contains one or more semiconductors with control electrodes each connected in parallel with a diode with the opposite polarity. This assembly is connected between a continuous voltage supply and a load circuit in which is a second similar circuit. This similar circuit is connected oscillating circuit which comprises a coil and capacitor and is in turn connected between the load circuit and the voltage supply, such that it is connected to the first regulator circuit. The control electrodes are powered alternatively be one or more pulse generator control circuits to cause conduction.</p> |
