PURPOSE:To transmit a data carrying many kinds of information efficiently and accurately with an identical transceiver by operating a check word with each data in a data group so as to apply error detection and error correction. CONSTITUTION:After a video format signal or a data signal is demodulated, the signal is fed to a comparator 1, where the signal is formed into a digital waveform having a steep leading and trailing, and then the result is fed to a memory control circuit 2 so as to write an information data and a check word in a digital signal to a buffer memory 3 sequentially. The video format signal or the data signal obtained from the comparator 1 is fed also to a control code separating circuit 50. The control code separated by the circuit 50 is fed also to an error correction control circuit 51, and the circuit 51 applies a correction level designation signal to an error detection circuit 52 in response to the control code. The circuit 52 performs the error detection and correcting operation. Since the error detection and correcting operation is executed corresponding to the code constituting method at the transmission side, the efficient error detection and correcting work are attained. |
