PURPOSE:A glutamic acid-producing strain of Coryneform is allowed to contain a plasmid in which the segment of DNA losing L-tyrosine requirement of the resultant mutant is introduced to permit high-yield production of L-tyrosine. CONSTITUTION:Such a gene as to remove L-tyrosine requirement from the resultant mutant, when it is introduced into a L-tyrosine-requiring mutant that is derived from a Coryneform strain producing glutmaic acid which is connected to a vector plasmid obtained from a DNA donor in Corineform glutamic acid producers and can conduct autonomous replication in the cells, is introduced into a DNA acceptor in Coryneform glutamic acid producers. Then, the resultand L-tyrosine-producing strain is cultured to collect L-tyrosine accumulated in the culture mixture. |
