Foam applicator heads are for application of a functional chemical treating compsn. in form of froth or foam to a substrate, such as textiles or fabrics. The appts. enables the uniform application in foam form of many functional chemical compsns. that are to be used for treatment of the substrate, in such manner as to leave the treated material dry to the touch when the treating substrate was initially dry to the touch.
