<p>Suction member at a trimming position near the lateral edge of the fabric operates to hold the frills outstretched for severing by a scissor-like cutter. The trim is removed by the suction member. Pref. the cutter includes a movable scissor blade operated by a solenoid. The suction member is pref. a nozzle on the end of a flexible suction pipe leading to a trim collector. Esp. used for trimming warpwise or walewise frills, from flat fabric being drawn down from the needles of a circular knitting machine.</p> |
