PURPOSE:To always improve excellently spatial distortion and ununiformity due to it even if integration time is varied by correcting the correction amount which is determined on the basis of the correction coefficient read out of a correction coefficient memory according to a selected mode. CONSTITUTION:Correction coefficients for respective positions are stored previously in the correction coefficient memory 140, and a correction coefficient for a position specified by position signals Xa and Ya is read out; and the correction amount is outputted from amplifiers 151 and 152 on the basis of the coefficient and added to the position signals Xa and Ya by adding circuits 161 and 162 to correct distortion. The amplification factors of the amplifiers 151 and 152 are varied according to a mode selected by a correction amount correcting circuit 150 and the correction amount added to the original position signals Xa and Ya is corrected. |
