PURPOSE:To obtain a sealed lead-acid battery which is compact and light weight by partitioning a synthetic resin bag into plural compartments, accommodating positive and negative plates and a separator in each compartment and sealing it, then connecting these unit cells in series. CONSTITUTION:Partitions 6 comprising synthetic resin film are arranged in a synthetic resin bag-shaped jacket 1, whose three sides are sealed, having acid resistance and hot melt bonding ability, to form compartments. Plate group 6 comprising a positive plate, a negative plate, and a separator is sealed in each compartment, and these unit cells are connected in series. Positive and negative poles are coated with hot melt adhesive resin and melt-bonded to the jacket 1. Thereby, a sealed lead-acid battery which is compact and light weight is efficiently manufactured. |
