The invention relates to a device for sheltering both an electric current metering box and bypass equipment. It consists of a case 1 in three compartments, which are assigned respectively: a. to the accommodating of a metering box 3, b. to that of the bypass equipment 6, c. to that of the connection cable loops 7 and to the passage of the cables of the network 11. The particular features of this device lie in that the bypass equipment is installed behind the metering box, whilst being accessible after removing the box, the operation being done without cutting current to the subscriber. The device is particularly intended for accommodating electric current metering boxes, and bypass equipment, in housing developments or groups of individual houses served by underground networks. <IMAGE>
