PURPOSE:To jet small ink drops necessary for printing each time an electrical pulse is applied for printing by setting the maximum value of a liquid pressure within a specified range when jetting is performed in a pressure chamber of a print head. CONSTITUTION:The jetting system holds a static state at the point 63 until immediately before a positive input voltage pulse 62 is applied to a pressure plate at the time t1. At the time t1, as the positive voltage is applied to deflect the pressure plate, pressure working on ink increases up to about ten times and hence, the maximum value (point 64) of the pressure working on the ink is set in the range of 1-20psi. A high pressure at the point 64 acts as driving force of the ink in the orifice. |
