<p>PURPOSE:To form a printed image which has a clear tone, a high density and excellent resistance to light and water, by injecting droplets of a recording soln. obtd. by adding a specified high-molecular dispersant to an aq. medium contg. a water-soluble dye, onto a recording material. CONSTITUTION:0.5-20wt% water-soluble dye such as C.I. Direct Black and 5- 200pts.wt. (per 100pts.wt. dye) high-molecular dispersant having an MW of 1,000 -100,000 and composed of hydrophilic and hydrophobic moieties are dissolved in an aq. medium composed of 10-90wt% water and 5-95wt% water-soluble org. solvent such as methyl alcohol to obtain a recording soln. 7. The recording soln. 7 is fed from a storage tank 6 through a feed pipe 8, a pump or filter 9 and an inlet 3 to a soln. chamber 4 within a head. A signal which is converted from a recording signal S into a pulse by a signal processing means 10, is applied to a piezo-resonator 2a to cause the recording soln. 7 as a liquid droplet 11 to be discharged through a discharge orifice 5 to thereby form a printed image on a recording material 12.</p> |
