Signal processing system for motor vehicles

A signal processing system is presented which converts an analog signal into a digital signal. The analog signal is expressed by a potential difference. For the processing, a capacitor is charged up and the charge voltage is compared with the potential difference. The resultant charging time of the capacitor is used as a measure of the value of the analog signal. Such a signal processing system is particularly suitable for evaluation of the measurement voltage conveyed by a hot wire which is installed in an airflow meter in motor vehicles.
