The massaging device has a belt-shaped brush body as the massaging element which is fixed on a belt. The belt is fastened on a holder of U-shaped design. Its yoke part runs parallel to and at a distance from the brush body. The holder is arranged so as to be raisable and lowerable on a guide column and is driven by a motor drive. In addition, the holder can be moved to and fro transversely relative to the guide column by a further motor drive. The brush body is arranged so as to be exchangeable on the holder and can be replaced by a brush roller, a beaded roller or the like. <IMAGE>
