In a household appliance, such as a dishwashing machine, washing machine or the like which is suitable for built-in installation, the front and the rear vertically adjustable support foot of one side of the appliance is mounted in each case on a common, removable sliding runner. Arranged on each sliding runner for adjusting the support foot is an adjusting gear mechanism which can be operated from the front of the household appliance. In this case, the foot plates of the vertically adjustable support feet of the appliance are a constituent of the gear mechanism. As a result, using simple means a cost-effective support foot adjusting device is provided which can also easily be mounted at a later date and also facilitates the installation and movement of the machine up to its location.
