The switch is used for optically separating and connecting optical fibres (3). A fixed optical fibre end is attached to a stationary part, and a movable optical fibre end to a deflectable switching tongue (2) of the switch by bonder applied in a punctiform fashion. At the bonding points, the switching tongue and the substrate have cutouts (5) which precisely define the bonding points in position and extent. <IMAGE>
