Process for the prevention of baked-on slag on the walls of combustion chambers

Air is freely sucked in by the reduced pressure prevailing in the boiler and uniformly distributed over the heated surface of the brickwork by specially constructed air nozzles and their arrangement in the combustion chamber. The resulting air curtain protects the brickwork from baked-on slag without impairing the ignition-supporting action of the hot brickwork on the firing.
