PURPOSE:To obtain a Cr-Mo weld metal which improves welding workability and exhibits excellent impact performance after stress relief annealing by adjusting adequately the component compsn. of a filled flux. CONSTITUTION:A flux of a cored wire contains, by total weight of the flux, 5- 20% ZrO2, 3-10% SiO2, 5-15% iron oxide in terms of FeO, 3-15% MgO, <=20% metallic Cr, 3-10% metallic Mo and 1-3.5% metallic Ti. The flux contains further the metallic Ti and TiO2 in the range shown by the following equation: 1%<=(0.25XTiO2+metallic Ti)<=3.5%. The flux is filled into the cored wire at such a rate at which the flux is incorporated at 10-20% by the total weight of the wire, by which the cored wire for Cr-Mo gas shielded arc welding is obtd. |
